Where and How, Easy or Not?
Easy? Simple? Good?
Are there ways to invest towards financial freedom that are easy, are simple, and are good? Is it an impossible question?
With all the turmoil in today’s world, with misinformation and conspiracy theories filling the airwaves, what is someone who wants success and emotional stability to do?
I wish I could say “avoid the airwaves” and be done with it, but that is not really a fully viable option for most. Like saying “avoid the media,” easy to divert oneself from some media, say but hard to do if the idea is to separate from all media.

Popular Idea
It is firmly cemented in most minds that people who are rich either inherited it, or started their own business. If the former case, luck is the only factor, by being born into the right place and time. In the latter case, it assumes thouands of hours sacrificed for growing the business. But there is another, easier way.
I have called this easier way slouching, because it is possible to be financially free by doing very little. How little? Let’s look at it.
1. Set up an emergency fund. It should have a few months living expenses.
2. Take advantage of what’s available.
If one’s employer offers a 401k plan (or equivalent), sign up for it. This is not hard.
If a HSA account is available, join it.
3. Open and contribute to a Roth IRA.
4. Set up automatic monthly investing, starting even with a small amount. It adds up and grows over time. Choose a low cost index fund.
Taken together, these actions will add up to be a financially positive result in one’s life. Your future life will thank your present life.
Don’t let yourself grow older with no financial assets to show for it.
But
It all sounds easy. And it is. Get on the right road.
