Is anyone surprised at Trump’s latest destructiveness?

Trump fires Bureau of Labor Statistics commissioner after disappointing job numbers
Trump didn’t like the statistics so he fired the department head. How soon before Trump’s team releases fake statistics?

Corporation for Public Broadcasting Will Shut Down
The company is among the first casualties of a vote to strip roughly $500 million in federal funding from NPR, PBS and local stations across the country.
Trump doesn’t like independent media. So he killed their funding. How soon before Trump’s supporters buy up struggling media outlets to broadcast his message?

The End of IRS’ free Direct File
The Internal Revenue Service has stopped the free Direct File program. It has allowed many taxpayers to file their income tax returns without cost.

Why does Trump kill government programs that help people, like Direct File?
On the face if it, it probably costs the IRS some money to run Direct File. On the other hand the tax preparation companies now are in line for a revenue boost.

As important, government entities cannot lobby or bribe politicians. However, once a government program is privatized, companies feel obligated to lobby in order to preserve their businesses. This opens more and more potential revenue streams for government leaders who relish getting more money from lobbying, campaign contributions, or bribes.

Why Trump Still Is Soft On Putin
In recent weeks Trump has said he is disappointed in Putin. Nonetheless, Trump has not pushed as hard on Putin as he could have. Look at the sanctions on some other countries as compare to Trump’s moves against Putin.

The way I see it, Trump has always had his eye on how he can make money. Since most Western nations have soured on Trump’s real estate ventures, the last remaining possible areas are Russia and the rest of the former Soviet Union. As a result, Trump has been holding out on hitting Putin with harsher sanctions for his potential future real estate deals.

There has been a marked shift in Trump’s attitude as the Ukraine war continues. Since Trump announced that he would end the Ukraine was as soon as he was elected, his is frustrated there has been little to no movement. That lack of movement frustrates him, which has caused the recent shift.

Will we see harder sanctions on Russia? Is Trump willing to forgo his dream of future real estate projects in Russia? Time will tell.
